The Nikon Coolpix P900 is a Large Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 16 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 100-6400 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 100-6400. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in relatively low-light. With 16 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 19" x 14" at 240 DPI.
A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Nikon Coolpix P900 to compensate for camera shake.
This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/4000 to 15s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/4000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.
The Nikon Coolpix P900 features a Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. A Real-Time Autofocus Tracking System allows focus to follow a moving subject within the frame. Manual Focus is also available.
Dual controls-dials offer direct access to most exposure parameters which makes this digital camera suitable for advanced photographers. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. Framing on the Nikon Coolpix P900 is performed via a 0.20" Built-in EVF with 920K Pixels. This EVF shows 100% coverage.
