Lens Description
The Canon EF-M 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 IS STM is a wide to short telephoto zoom designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.6X) sensor. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 18 to 55mm focal-range. It provides the same field of view as a 28.8-88mm lens on a Full-Frame camera. An optical Image Stabilization System built into this lens compensates for of up to 4-stopsMeasured according the the CIPA Standard. of camera shake.
This 3X zoom lens focuses down to 25cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 0.25X magnification. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. A built-in focus motor is used to set the focus-distance. It allowed Canon to optimize the motor precisely for this lens in order to maximize performance.
The lens weighs 210g.
This lens is only available for the Canon M mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Canon M mount cameras.
