Tamron Adds ASP-C and Full-Frame Sony E-Mount Lenses

Third-Party lens manufacturer Tamron just added two more lenses dedicated to the Sony E-mount. While they normally offer lenses in multiple mounts, the new ones released today have been designed exclusively for the Sony-E mount.
The new Tamron Di III-A 11-20mm F/2.8 RXD is the first exclusively APS-C lens for Sony E-mount from Tamron, denoted by the new Di III-A family. This a very wide zoom lens that provides an extra-stop of light compared to the Sony E 10-18mm F/4 OSS while being almost as wide. The most interesting aspect of this lens is that it is the only weatherproof ultra-wide zoom for Sony APS-C. Full-Frame equivalents exists but are substantially heavier.
This lens spans a 71-105° field-of-view, making it suitable for architecture photography. With its bright maximum aperture, it is expected to handle interiors well. The lens itself is of a simple design with a standard zoom-ring and a focus-ring. It extends a little when zooming. There are no other controls on this lens and so the camera body must be switched to MF mode when required. At 335g, this is one of the lightest ultra-wide zoom lenses on the market, It even accommodates 67mm filters, which is uncommon for extremely wide lenses.
See the Tamron Di III-A 11-20mm F/2.8 RXD specification page for more information including ordering options when they become available.
A new super-telephoto zoom provides a long reach for Sony E-mount cameras, and is compatible with both Full-Frame and APS-C models. This Tamron Di III 150-500mm F/5-5.6 VC VXD spans 150-500mm focal-length with a rather dim maximum-aperture of F/5-6.7. This allows Tamron to make this lens cheaper but surprisingly is is not that light, considering it weighs 1.7kg.
Tamron packed this lens with their own technology, an VXD sonic motor, a Vibration Compensation system, a Focus-Range Limiter and Tripod-Collar. The body of this lens is weatherproof as well. At the front, there is an 82mm filter-thread to accept screw-on filters.
