Sony Quietly Refreshes 2 Full-Frame Cameras

This morning Sony updated two of their Full-Frame Mirrorless Digital Cameras from a few years ago with minor improvements. Both the Sony Alpha A7R III and Alpha A7R IV reviewed here now have newer A variants.
The new Sony Alpha A7R IV A keeps every feature from the highest-resolution Full-Frame camera on the market. Sony changed its rear LCD panel with a high-resolution unit that consumes slightly more power. This brings up its resolution to 2.4 MP. Battery-Life through the EVF remains unaffected. The USB Type-C port on that mirrorless now is compliant with the faster 3.2 implementation. The camera though looks identical to the A7R IV.
A new Sony Alpha A7R III A also gets its 1.4 megapixels LCD upgraded to 2.4 and USB Type-C port to 3.2. A minor cosmetic difference at the back makes the LCD look more like the one used on the A7R IV.
These models will replace current ones in the near future. Price is expected to remain unchanged and those will be sold under the same name as the models they replace, although with a new model number.
