New Pentax FA* 85mm F/1.4 SDM AW Launched

Ricoh just announced their upcoming Pentax FA* 85mm F/1.4 SDM AW ultra-bright prime lens designed for K-mount Full-Frame DSLRs. This new lens bares the FA* designation, the highest-quality level for Pentax Full-Frame lenses. It is built without compromise on optics to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness at all apertures. All FA* lenses are fully weatherproof and freezeproof to the high-standard Pentax is known for.
This professional-grade prime lens has an 85mm focal-length which is ideal for portraits, given its flattering perspective. With an F/1.4 maximum aperture and telephoto focal-length, it renders background bokeh beautifully. A 9-blade iris produces well-rounded out-of-focus areas. The Pentax FA* 85mm F/1.4 SDM AW features an 82mm filter-thread for its unusually large front element. The lens is quite heavy at almost 1.3kg or 2.5 pounds.
