Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 Review Published

A comprehensive review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2 was just published at Neocamera. This is a 12 megapixels Micro Four-Thirds SLD in a relatively compact body. It uses a LiveMOS sensor capable of 3.2 FPS continuous shooting and full 1080p HD video capture with stereo sound.

The GF2 follows the highly-acclaimed Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 which entered the market as the smallest interchangeable lens camera at the time. With the GF2, Panasonic pushed the size advantage even further by simplifying the design and removing external controls. As such, despite the higher model number, the GF2 is not an upgrade from the GF1. The recently announced GF3 is even smaller and sheds even more features including the combined hot-shoe and accessory-port.

There is now an intermediate Panasonic Lumix DMC-G3, between the GH2 and GF3 which serves to bridge the gap between the high-end GH-series and the smallest GF-series. The G3 not only features more controls but also includes a built-in EVF.
