New Venus Laowa Lenses

Just this morning Venus launched one of the most extreme fisheye lenses on the market. Their new Laowa 4mm F/2.8 Circular Fisheye is designed to capture a field-of-view covering 210°. This unique lens is available for Micro Four Thirds cameras and makes it possible to capture completely spherical environments in only 2 shots.

Its optical formulation provides and extensive depth-of-field while being able to focus 8cm from the sensor for a 0.11X magnification. It is designed to give consistent sharpness across the frame despite the extreme field curvature. This is extremely light lens weighs just 137g and is expected to ship this month for $200 USD.

Just last month, Venus also introduces a pair of ultra-wide angle lenses for Nikon Z and Canon RF full-frame mirrorlress platform. The Laowa 10-18mm F/4.5-5.6 which is the widest rectilinear zoom lens on the market, now expands possibilities for the Nikon Z platform. It gives a 130° field-of-view and is available for ordering for $849 USD from Venus.

The ultra-wide 15mm F/2 Zero-D which features zero distortion on a rectilinear lens was also made available for both Nikon Z and Canon RF mounts. These lenses are designed for full-frame coverage and high optical quality. They carry the same $849 suggested price as the 10-18mm.
