The Venus Optics Laowa 12-24mm F/5.6 Zoom Shift CF is an ultra-wide to normal zoom designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.5X) sensor. This constant-aperture zoom covers a 12 to 24mm focal-range. It provides the same field of view as a 18-36mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.
This 2X zoom lens focuses down to 15cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 0.4X magnification. The lens is not capable of autofocus and so the focus-distance must always be manually adjusted via the focus-ring.
The lens weighs 575g.
This version of the lens has a Leica L mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Leica L mount cameras with APS-C (1.5X) sensors. Venus Optics also makes this lens for Canon RF, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z and Sony E mounts.
