Lens Description

The Pentax HD DA 55-300mm F/4-5.8 ED WR is a short telephoto to super telephoto zoom designed for cameras with a APS-C (1.5X) sensor. This variable-aperture zoom covers a 55 to 300mm focal-range. It provides the same field of view as a 82.5-450mm lens on a Full-Frame camera.

This 5X zoom lens focuses down to 140cm from the imaging plane, capturing subject with a maximum 0.28X magnification. The lens offers a Quick-Shift AF system which lets the user simply rotate the focus-ring to focus manually. While this lens is capable of AF, it does not have a built-in focus motor. It can only focus with a compatible camera body which features a mechanical AF-coupling.

The lens weighs 466g. Its body is weatherproof against adverse weather such as rain and snow. Seals in key areas prevent entry of water and dust.

This lens is only available for the Pentax K mount. It directly attaches and is fully compatible with all Pentax K mount cameras with APS-C (1.5X) sensors.
