The Pentax K-5 II is a Professional DSLR with an APS-C sensor and a Pentax K lens mount. Its 16 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 100-12800 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 80-51200. This makes it possible to shoot hand-held in very low-light. With 16 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 20" x 13" at 240 DPI.
A builtin 3-Axis Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Pentax K-5 II to compensate for camera shake up to 3-Stops beyond hand-holding with any mounted lens.
This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/8000 to 30s. Bulb exposures of an unspecified duration are possible with this camera. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/8000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.
The Pentax K-5 II features a 11-point Phase-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance. Manual Focus is also available.
Dual controls-dials offer direct access to most exposure parameters which makes this digital camera suitable for advanced photographers. The weatherproof construction of this digital camera protects it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. This particular model is also freezeproof down to -10C. Framing on the Pentax K-5 II is performed via a large reflex optical viewfinder with 0.92X magnification and 100% coverage. This magnification is equivalent to 0.61X on a Full-Frame camera.
