Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 Samples

The crops below show the image-quality of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 next to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 at the same ISO. These digital cameras both have a large sensitivity range and reach ISO 6400 at their full-resolution. The newer LF1 also does ISO 12800 at 12 MP while the LX7 does it at 3 MP. The LF1 sports a longer lens while the LX7 a brighter one. An EVF is built-in to the former and optional on the latter.

All images below are 100% crops from their respective camera taken at the highest image quality JPEG setting available. ISO, aperture and white-balance were set on camera. Other settings were left at their defaults. These crops help determine which ISO settings is acceptable on these cameras. As noise increases, most cameras compensate with noise reduction which introduces softness. The point at which a print become unacceptably noisy is a matter of personal taste.
