The Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II offers a new 50 megapixels High-Resolution mode which combines 8 individual 20 megapixels exposures offset by a fraction of a pixel to simulate a higher resolution sensor. Next to it, the only true 50 megapixels reviewed here so far, the Fujifilm GFX 50S
Fujifilm GFX 50S which is a significantly larger and more expensive Medium Format digital camera.

As one would expect, the native 50 megapixels sensor delivers better image-quality with more sharpness, finer details and less noise. Still, the output from High Resolution mode of the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II is very impressive. This obviously works best with static subjects and the camera well-supported.
