Nikon D7500 Summary
Nikon D7500 Assessment
The D7500 is professional-grade DSLR which offers exceptional value due to having a state-of-the-art 20 megapixels APS-C sensor with class-leading ISO 50-1,638,400 sensitivity range and fast 8 FPS continuous drive.
Image quality of the D7500 is top-notch, as one would expect from a digital camera sharing its sensor with the D500 reviewed here
Nikon D500. Details and colors are very will rendered and noise is kept under control which lets the D7500 deliver a superb dynamic-range until ISO 800. Automatic WB could stand to be improved, while the metering system falls short of expectations, needing EC more often than usual.
This DSLR is completely responsive and generally fast. Only shot-to-shot speeds could hold the photographer back. The 51-Point Phase-Detect AF system, shutter-lag and blackout though are all more than satisfactory.
This is a sturdy DSLR with efficient controls for both stills and video. It shoot continuously at 8 FPS and record 4K Ultra-HD video at 30 FPS with stereo sound. It offers a large viewfinder with Eye-Start Sensor and dual control-dials in an ergonomic weather-sealed body.
Overall, the Nikon D7500 can really deliver, although it requires a little more work than typical of this class of camera. Anyone familiar with the Nikon system should find themselves comfortably using this DSLR in no time.
