Fujifilm X100VI Summary
Fujifilm X100VI Assessment
The Fujifilm X100VI is even more impressive than the X100V. It mounts the highest resolution APS-C sensor on a 5-axis image-stabilization system and combines it with a highly optimized 23mm F/2 prime lens.
The 40 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR that appears in Fujifilm APS-C mirrorless cameras produces great images with class-leading resolution, low noise, wide dynamic-range and beautiful color.
While the camera is highly responsive and offers a fast continuous drive, its autofocus speed is on the slow side. The all-important shutter-lag is great though.
The hybrid viewfinder is very clever but it is the 3.7 MP EVF mode which is truly superb. It is very sharp and assists manual-focus in one of three ways. Precise focus is also helped in the OVF with the a unique Digital Range-Finder mode that overlays a tiny portion of the EVF.
Photographers who are comfortable with a fixed F/2 23mm lens would be very impressed by the Fujifilm X100VI. The all-in-one body and excellent quality of this camera is sure to make it last.
