Digital Camera Description

The Kodak Astro Zoom AZ255 is a Medium Digital Camera with a 1/2.3" sensor. Its 16 Megapixels CMOS sensor offers an ISO 100-3200 sensitivity range which is expandable to ISO 100-3200. With 16 MP of resolution, sharp prints are possible up to 19" x 14" at 240 DPI.

A builtin Image Stabilization mechanism allows the Kodak Astro Zoom AZ255 to compensate for camera shake.

This camera features a mechanic shutter that can expose for 1/2000 to 30s. With a fastest shutter-speed of 1/2000, fast action can easily be frozen. Night photography is possible using this digital camera due to its long exposure capability. This camera model offers Full Manual Controls.

The Kodak Astro Zoom AZ255 features a 9-point Contrast-Detect AF system. Autofocus can continuously adjust according to subject distance.

Although this camera offers full manual controls, it does not have any control-dials to change exposure parameters directly. This camera does not feature any seals to protect it against adverse weather, dust and moisture. Care must be taken, just like with most electronics. There is no viewfinder on the Kodak Astro Zoom AZ255 and no provision to add one.
